This is a type of viburnum flower romantically called "Summer Snowflake", about 3 to 4 inch per flower. The flower's scientific name is Viburnum plicatum f. tomentosum 'Mariesii' and you rarely find these dried flowers on the market, because the harvest time is very short, and they are very delicate. When I press dry them, half of them break up, so double the effort. Also they wilt within minutes after picking, so I have to press immediately. They are also called doublefile viburnum because of the distinctively layered horizontal branching with snowflake like flowers forming a stunning showcase.
